CellResearch Corporation Partners with Biotech Investors Tim & Marie-Claire Haines to Advance Regenerative Hair Loss Therapy
Singapore / London — 23.02.2026: CellResearch Corporation Pte. Ltd. (“CellResearch”) today announced a strategic partnership with biotech specialist investors Tim Haines and Marie-Claire Haines to advance the development of a novel regenerative drug for hair loss. The program will be led through Tangible Biosciences Ltd. (“Tangible”), a newly incorporated UK subsidiary focused on clinical-stage regenerative therapeutics.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA), the most common form of hair loss, affects up to 50% of adult men and women globally. Tangible is developing a proprietary injectable regenerative therapy derived from CellResearch’s technology platform with the potential to address this significant unmet medical need.
Strategic Investment and Board Appointments
Tangible has secured a cornerstone investment from Tim and Marie-Claire Haines and their family. As part of the transaction:
• Tim Haines has been appointed Chairman of Tangible Biosciences
• Marie-Claire Haines has joined the Board of Directors
Tim Haines is an Executive Partner at Abingworth, a globally respected life sciences investment firm, and brings extensive experience in building and financing biotechnology companies through clinical development, regulatory approval, and successful exits.
Marie-Claire Haines contributes deep commercial expertise in aesthetic medical technologies. She previously led the development of earFold™, a minimally invasive aesthetic medical device that achieved multi-market regulatory approvals prior to its acquisition by Allergan in 2017.
Scientific Leadership
Olivia Sutton, Chief Development Officer of CellResearch Corporation, will continue to lead scientific and product development for the Tangible program. Sutton has played a central role in advancing the underlying technology platform and will oversee development strategy, data generation, and execution of key clinical milestones. Her continued leadership ensures strong technical continuity as Tangible advances toward clinical studies.
Technology Platform and Market Opportunity
Tangible Biosciences is developing what it believes to be the first fully characterised stem-cell-derived secretome therapy specifically designed for hair loss. The program builds directly on CellResearch’s regenerative technology platform and targets a large, underserved market where current pharmacological options remain limited and surgical interventions are invasive and costly.
Recent financing activity in the AGA biotechnology sector provides encouraging external benchmarks. Companies developing novel hair-loss therapeutics have recently raised US$75–120 million in single rounds to fund pivotal clinical development, with implied valuations typically exceeding US$100 million once credible clinical data is established.
Based on these market dynamics and subject to positive initial clinical results, CellResearch believes a US$50 million pre-money valuation represents the low end of reasonable outcomes for Tangible, with potential to exceed US$100 million depending on regulatory positioning, study design, and data quality.
Importantly, the underlying platform has broader applicability beyond hair loss, including skin rejuvenation, post-procedure repair, and other regenerative aesthetic indications. These adjacent opportunities represent additional potential upside not reflected in current AGA market benchmarks.
Next Steps
Tangible Biosciences is currently advancing preclinical development and preparing for regulatory engagement and first-in-human studies.
CellResearch believes the combination of a focused clinical strategy, disciplined capital deployment, and experienced biotech and commercial leadership positions Tangible to create meaningful long-term value. Further updates will be provided as key milestones are achieved.
